As parents, some acquired skills are a right of passage: mounting a spare tire in the dark, Googling "how to get sharpie off the walls" as your daughter's birthday party guests are pulling into the driveway, and finding a rotting half-eaten snack in your child's room—using only your nose. 

Let's add another to your list: setting up an air bed. Sometimes in life you just end up with an unexpected overnight guest (nephews, friends, that one stray kid who seems to always show up in your backyard whenever there's a party). Other times, you've had a date night scheduled weeks in advance and your own offspring are spending some quality time with Nanna and Poppa.
